“Happy New Year!” Chinese New Year of course! During this Chinese holiday season, the 3rd study weekend of SPOCK has taken place.
Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival (春节: Chūn Jié) in modern China, is an important Chinese festival celebrated at the turn of the traditional lunisolar Chinese calendar. Celebrations traditionally run from the evening preceding the first day, to the Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first calendar month. In 2018, the first day of the Chinese New Year was on Friday, 16 February, initiating the year of the Dog.
While whole China is celebrating the New Year, SPOCK doesn’t stop our activities! Different groups are still working on their cases, and new cases are coming continuously. In other words, we are working hard to collect more money! Because it’s Chinese New Year, we have to have a Chinese dinner! So, we ordered WOK TO GO. The tasty was …hmmm… We will comment on it when we have eaten a real Chinese meal in China.
On Saturday night a drink was held, not only for Chinese New Year but also because we have our GO and booked our plane tickets (which you can read on previous news item).
